This Privacy Policy explains how STEMR("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use our collaborative audio feedback platform (the "Service").
Information we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, username, password (stored as a secure hash), and plan or billing status.
- Project content: audio stems you upload, waveform data, timestamped comments, replies, project titles, and collaborator invitations.
- Usage data: log data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and timestamps of sign-in and core actions.
- Payment data: if you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are processed by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate users and manage projects, invites, and notifications.
- Process subscriptions and enforce plan limits.
- Respond to support requests and protect against abuse or security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers that help us run the Service (such as cloud hosting, object storage, email delivery, and payment processing), only as needed to perform their work and subject to appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of STEMR, our users, or others.

We retain account and project data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated content, subject to legal or operational requirements.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
